A weekly update...That's a bit more like it! We've got ourselves a Burnerman, Coldman and Laserman! The new-and-improved Burnerman's and Laserman's bios are open for the public. Coldman's will be on its way once a few things get sorted out on the sidelines. We could still use a Kendouman and a Topman, but a new Kendouman would more preferred. Considering the surge of new membership, I'm not in such a big rush to replace Topman anymore. Though if someone out there truly, TRULY wants him, we can work something out.

As an aside, I've updated the job rosters in the job requests so that they now have some of the more recent ops. It's mostly just so we can stay with the times. By this time tomorrow (or Wednesday at the very latest), I'll have Shademan's latest installment of his Taiyoh Shonen Django saga.

Ouch. Just...ouch. Almost a year without updating? That won't do. First off, no we're NOT dead! Though a hard drive crash that wiped out EVERYTHING DLM isn't helping. Fortunately, we've got a few things in store for all you who haven't jumped ship yet. There's the epic conclusion to Dark Execution for starters, another job request or two that I need to encode and sprite, and we've got an ep well underway by our new Videoman. And that segways nicely into my next announcement: I've laid off our old Videoman and Searchman. Sorry, but either you use it or you lose it! Our new Videoman's none other than the famous Koala, aka: Plantman from AXE and Snakeman of Aftermath! Gamemaster (aka Gateman from Aftermath) is stepping up to Searchman's position. Their bios are uploaded, so feel free to take a look at 'em. I've got high hopes for these two, so give 'em a warm welcome! And for that matter, YOU could be a Darklight Merc! I've decided to open up Burnerman, Coldman, Laserman, Kendouman, and Topman. If you're interested, give this a quick peek first and drop a line at our forum. It's good to be back! Well Hurricane Rita blew right past me, so that's a relief. Anyway, our old Aquagirl, Duck has resigned. Farewell! You shall be missed! But amazingly enough, we already have ourselves a new Aquaman: Nathan, AKA Splash Warfly from Red Alert. Glad to have you onboard, Nathan! His bio's already posted and so is his job record. And speaking of Red Alert, they're now our newest affiliate. Check 'em out if you got a moment! That'll have to do for now. Catch you on the flip side!

But we've had our fill of kicking back, and I've posted two new eps to get us back in the grove. Hopefully, they're worth the wait! And I know I've said this a million times now, but seriously, now that summer's hypnotic spell is broken, a new job will be request on its way. I mean it this time.

Good news everyone! Shademan's job record for the job requests section is now complete, so now you can read all about Shade's exploits! And I finished it not a moment too soon. A job written by both Shademan and Ice Chan's been finished up, and is now up for grabs. Also, say hello to our little friends: Annhilation.exe and Cossack's Comrades! They're now the few, the proud, the affiliates of Darklight Mercenaries! Actually, I've been meaning to affiliate with Cossack's Comrades sooner, but there's no point dwelling on that now. There's also some new art to be posted, a few from our Aqua Girl, along with a few pieces of gift art, but first, I need sleep. They'll be up in a day or so tops. Until then, party on!

Sometimes, I'm just in an updaty mood. Anyhoo, more job records are open in the job request section, and the ones I tacked on yesterday are tweaked a little more shiny. The only navis who don't have job records now are Shademan and Aquagirl, but I'll tackle those a little later. Again, to see our job exploits, just click on a navi's battle pic in the job request section, then click on any of the mission that the record lists, and viola! And why on Earth am I now green and blue instead of my healthy yellow and orange? If you haven't seen Spark's latest job, then I ain't saying anything. That'll have to do for now, so go ahead and dig in!

No, it's no April Fool's prank, it's a real bona fide update! A new job RP's been posted in the under Sparkman's job requests section. It was RPed by myself and RaijinK, so it's definately a good read! The only reason why it took me this long to post it was that I wanted to hammer out a menu for all the jobs we've all taken. For the moment, only Sparkman's, Windman's, and Searchman's menus are completed. Just click on their battle pics in job request section, and then click on any of the number of jobs they've been hired for in their mission records box, and you're good as gold! I'll finish the others later, when it's not so late and when I'm not so drained. God willing, I'll crank out another ep to tide y'all over. On a lesser note, I got rid of our "Lan and The Magic Ham" alias. That handle lost its charm a while ago, and nobody really refers to us that anyway. Wow, we've all been a whirlwind of activity for the past week! ...Okay maybe not all of us, but there is an update to be had none the less. Has Fire Man got you burned out? Does Aqua Man drive to the point of crying rivers? Does Kendou Man keep...kendouing you into oblivion? Well it's payback time! Our Shade Man has worked on his world-famous boss guides, and now we've got strategies for whole new boss navis along with more detailed strategies for the old ones! That'll have to do for now. Until then, keep watching the skies!

Well, I updated again, but it's only a teensy one this time. In case you haven't noticed, the main page has gotten a helluva lot smaller and less cluttered. That's because I just took all of the previous update bulletins including yesterday's and dumped them in their own little section that you can access through our handy-dandy menu. I was getting a tad bothered by how bloated the main page was getting with all the old updates floating around, and if I didn't do this now, I'd just have to do it later. All the other pages' menus should be updated with this section too, so you can access it wherever. That's basically it for now! Stay tuned for our second job staring Plant Man.exe, Wind Man.exe and Shade man.exe!

See? That didn't take long. The coveted 8th ep is finally open for the paying public along with Shade's new ep and Junk Man's intro ep! Sorry I didn't post these sooner, Shade and Junk! There's now three, count 'em three new pieces of art by Duck for y'all to check out, and with a name like Duck, you know they're good! And finally, there's a new supporting cast section tacked onto the bios that has snippets of our recurring characters. Now you can meet everyone from the drunken Lilly to the beat-upable Terry Jomon! Next update will probably be the job Plant Man.exe hired us for, so stay tuned for that! Until then, have a ball!

Well it's time of year of again! The first job we've ever been hired for is now up and running. 'Twas RPed by Wind Man, Drill Man from Annihilation, and yours truly, and it's one helluva read. Check it out! Just plop on over to the job request section and click on Spark Man's or Wind Man's battle pics. And Plant Man from Annhilation also just put in a request too, so hopefully, there will be more of these to come! I've also tacked on another pic by our Aqua Girl, so as long as you're the neighborhood, you might as well check that out too. Just taking a quick break from the Superbowl for a quick update. Nothing colossal, but I went through and made some revisions in a few of our eps (especially #1) so that they're a bit more consistent with our bios. Generally, I don't like revising eps, but if I must, I must. Besides, it was beginning bothering me. Anyway, epilogue #8 should be ready to roll fairly soon. Once that's done, I'll tack on Junk Man's ep for yer viewing pleasure. On that note, let me close out this announcement by saying,"Go Patriots!"

You were expecting someone else? Just a few quickie updates. First item: we've got our new Junk Man.exe: Ti-An, straight from Metallic Mercenaries! His bio along with Wind Man's and Laser Man's is now open to the public, so take a look! Heck, Junk's already got an ep ready to post, but first, I want to wrap the loose ends with Wind Man from the last ep, so the storyline doesn't seem too uneven. Sorry, Junk! Next item: Aqua Girl's got some more loveable art for our humble art page. You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll...hug Snake Man...? And now the best for last: a new Job Request section's been set up where John Q. BNfan can "hire" any one of us for a job that you and one of us RP out together! The details are all in the section! Two updates in one day! I'm on fire! This time, I just wanted to point out that there are now two new bios, Top's and Search's. Sorry for taking so long with those, Grad and TNT Boy! I revised the bios with the format we were meant to use on our new webspace, which may or may not come anymore. And for giggles, I've gone around the site and spruced them up with some icons from BN 4. Looks sexay, don't they? That sums things up for now. And I'm needed elsewhere. Spark Man.exe, AWAAAAAAAYY!

An update this late at night? It ain't the first time nor will it be the last. First off, we lost our Laser Man and Junk Man. Farewell, Eno and Dominator! May the fates be kinder than I ever was! But, we got a new Laser Man: new comer Bacon Bits, who's already got an ep ripped and ready to go! And yes, I finally got the long-promised epilogue finished, along with another one to boot. Sleep? What's a sleep? Unfortunately, my eps aren't done yet. But hopefully, they (along with another ep by Shade Man.exe) will be by New Years or sometime shortly after. But here's what I do have: our final members! Grad (Tomahawk Man from Metallic Mercenaries), Dominator (Wind Man also from Metallic Mercenaries) and Duck (a brand new MMC member) as Top Man, Junk Man, and Aqua Girl respectively. Next, we got an art section with our very first pic by Aqua Girl, and odds and ends sections with the beginnings of a boss guide by Shade Man.exe. That sums things up for now. And now to go off and catch whatever Zs I can before the sun comes up...drat.

After over a month of inactivity's gone by, I think it's high time I post an update, if nothing for no other reason, to show we're not dead. In fact, we got ourselves a new Laser Man and Kendou Man. Take a bow, Eno the Red Guy and Dark Lord Zero! That only leaves Aqua Man, Top Man, and Junk Man, though we've had some interested in the last two. So while we wait for someone who's willing to get wet and wild as Aqua Man, Laser Man's gonna try to give this site a face lift wherever he can, and Shade Man's promised to crank out the third ep. Hidey-ho, it's me again with a few updates and what not. First off, I posted the link to our forum in the table to the right. So if you ever wanted to talk to one of our cooky/amoral mercs, this your big chance! Next up, I made a little revision to the first epilogue. I wrote in a little piece of plot that'll factor in for future epilogues. I won't say it is, so go check it out! I'm currently writting up the second epilogue, so that'll be up soon enough. Howdy! It'll take more than sleep-depravation to keep almost everyone's favorite navi-tized sparkplug from making some updates! First off, in case you're off in Horsehead Nebula, we now have a name for our humble little team. As for "Lan and the Magic Ham"...that'll explain itself in time, honest. Second, I tweaked the bios a little bit. The Mona Lisa, they ain't but they at least look a bit shinier. Next off, I tacked on Burner's bio.
